A CVJ Boot is a rubber or plastic cover that protects the constant velocity joint (CVJ) of a car’s driveshaft from dirt, water, and other contaminants. Fukoku began developing CVJ boots in order to protect joints under severe conditions and accurately transmit power, and in 1987, became the first company in Japan to successfully develop plastic boots for constant velocity joints using thermoplastic polyester elastomers. With advances in high polymer science research and material development, Fukoku has created significant improvements in boot longevity and weight, improving quality and lowering cost for customers.
